Behind the looking glass

'Who are YOU?’ said the Caterpillar.
This was not an encouraging opening for a conversation. Alice replied, rather shyly, `I–I hardly know, Sir, just at present– at least I know who I WAS when I got up this morning, but I think I must have been changed several times since then.’
     - Alice in Wonderland, Chapter V -

It's me, Sandra, the ghost behind this little shop of things.
I'm rooted in the woods - from the dark forests of Appalachia to the rolling hills of the Thuringian forest.

Before I started making spooky little treasures, I wandered through archaeology and forensic anthropology — reading stories written in soil, stone, and bone. I learned how the past lingers, how every object carries a memory, and why bones are never just bones. That probably explains my soft spot for old folklore, cemetery symbolism, and things that feel a little haunted.

Halloween isn’t a season to me — it’s a mindset. I love the in-between: where beauty meets decay, where humor keeps the darkness warm, and where ghosts are more mischievous than frightening. Everything here is made for fellow souls who feel at home among shadows, candles, dried herbs, and stories that refuse to stay buried.

When I’m not crafting things, I’m usually tending a small garden, growing herbs, flowers, and useful little plants, and learning the rhythms of homesteading. Working with soil in the present feels like the quiet counterpoint to studying it in the past — both are about patience, cycles, and listening closely.

Crafted by hand, inspired by folklore, sealed with a wink — and maybe a spell or two.

Stay weird & spooky!
