Spring is here

Spring is here

Finally, spring is here in the woods of Thuringia.
It's slowly creeping in through cold, fog covered mornings that turn into sunny and warm days. We're always a bit behind other areas because of our altitude. But you can see the green buds on the trees now. And the air is filled with the songs of the birds and the wonderful smell that spring brings. Nature awakes. The wheel turned and a new circle begins. I love everything about it.

You see I'm up to some guerrilla gardening this year...
Last week I put the first seeds into soil  and ordered some herbs I plan planting on that secluded meadow spot behind our apartment building where the wild oregano grows. Who cares if there's Sage and Thyme growing too. Who cares if I plant a gooseberry next to the old black currant growing there. The bees and butterflies will love it. They need to feast on blossoms.

Let's get started!
